Tampa
International Airport was recently ranked by Conde Nast as
the #1 airport in the United States and the third best airport worldwide.
The nation's best airport serves all major airlines and offers convenient
shuttles from the gates to the landside terminal. The airport achieved the
third-lowest average fares in one recent year thanks to discount
airlines such as Southwest
Airlines, Air Tran
Airways, JetBlue
Airways, and Spirit
Airlines. Now Midwest
Air flies Milwaukee to Tampa throughout the year. The airport, only
26 miles from the condo, offers convenient
ground
transportation to the beaches by rental car, shared vans, or taxi.
Convenient Clearwater - St. Petersburg International Airport (PIE), only 15 miles away, provides for limited airline service, primarily flights by USA 3000 Airlines and Allegiant Air. Sun Country Airlines now flies from Minneapolis/St. Paul. For private aviation, historic Albert Whitted Airport (SPG) in Saint Petersburg is the closest towered airport with two runways and instrument approaches, offering convenient access to Madeira Beach by taxi or rental car.
By Car. Driving here is a popular option as St. Petersburg/Clearwater is easily accessible from major Interstates along the Midwest (I-75) and Northeast (I-95) corridors, as well as Orlando (I-4).

end. You can also catch the trolley on another route from Johns Pass
to Tyrone Square Mall. (Take the trolley to John's Pass and transfer to
