Onsite Property Manager for Check-In and Maintenance Staff. The condo building has a friendly, onsite property manager to handle your check-in, give you your key, and help ensure that your visit runs smoothly. Check-in is Saturday after 3:00 pm, while check-out is your last Saturday before 10:00 am. Take advantage of the pool and beach until check-in should you arrive early, or arrive Sunday if a morning check-in is desired. The building also has a full time maintenance person on staff. Major appliances are under a service contract for quick repair. Additionally, we live nearby in Tampa, so you can rent this condo with peace of mind. You will see as soon as you arrive that the building and common areas are extremely well maintained, as is our condo unit inside. Avoid the inconvenience of an off-site check-in and check-out, no onsite maintenance staff or an unavailable absentee owner. Stay with us!
PS: On a personal note, I'll never forget a vacation rental in the Bahamas. When we arrived, the door to the condo was locked and there was no onsite property manager. We didn't even have a contact person to call on the island. The fact that it was a holiday weekend raised the possibility that the few hotels on the island would be full. We found one of the few working public telephones (our cell phones didn't work then) and called the owner in the USA. Fortunately, someone answered and they were able to contact a housekeeper to open the door for us. The housekeeper said the owner gave her the wrong arrival date. Yes, people make mistakes. However, it's best to have onsite management to make sure the mistakes can be corrected immediately. By the way, that phone call to the USA cost us $15.00 for four minutes.
I almost forgot this story from 25+ years ago . . . sounds like fiction, but true. We rented a cabin with a beautiful view of the Smoky Mountains near Cherokee, North Carolina at a 4,000' elevation, arriving on Christmas eve. It was a dream come true as it began snowing on Christmas eve while driving up the steep mountain road to the isolated cabin. Guess what? The key didn't work! The owner was in Florida. It was cold and getting dark. This was the "BCP" era (before cell phones) and the closest phone or hotel was miles away. We decided to break a small glass window on the door to enter. Once we were inside, we found that the water pipes had burst. No water! My husband (the hero again) found that a plastic pipe to the washing machine had burst and bypassed the leak by stuffing a stick into the broken pipe. Again, if onsite management was available, they could have had given us another key immediately and repaired the water leak.
